Tara Schiphof, is a dancer, teacher, choreographer, artist, pageant coach, and aspiring makeup artist. Her goal is to impact others in the most beneficial way that she can. She studied as a ballet major at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.She started dancing at the age of two, participating in competition dance, at multiple studios including Dance Perfections, Advance Dance, and Dancers Edge. She won many High Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Overall soloist awards at numerous dance competitions. She was a member of the UNCSA preparatory program and soon after was asked to join the high school program at UNCSA in which she graduated with a special concentration in dance. She attended college at UNCSA and will graduate the spring of 2019. She has received various scholarships for her dancing, and has attended some of the best summer intensives at the worlds best ballet companies and schools, including Kirov Academy of Classical Ballet, Gelsey Kirkland Academy, Kaatsbaan Extreme Ballet, Ballet West, Boston Ballet, Nashville Ballet, and American Ballet Theater's five week summer intensive in NYC. She has also performed many roles, her repertoire includes, UNCSA's Nutcracker, she has performed many roles from party child to the Snow Queen, George Balanchine's Stars and Stripes, Serenade as a Russian Demi soloist, Petipa's La Bayadere, Helen Picket's Petal, Alexei Kremnev's Carnival of the Animals, Larry Keigwin's Kingdom, and many more.

She has also held many pageant titles at local, state, national, and international levels, some are Junior Miss North Carolina. Young Miss North Carolina, Grand Majestic Miss North Carolina, and her current title of Miss North Carolina of the Little Miss and Teen Miss NC  Scholarship Organization where she also received $5,000, a Gold Presidential Award, a Proclamation from the Mayor of King, and was spoken of by US Representative Virginia Foxx in the House of Representatives for raising over $17,000 for a masonic home, along with the help of her pageant friends. She has also held the title of North Carolina Cinderella State Teen, and International Photogenic winner of the International Cinderella 

Scholarship Organization, where she competed in Las Vegas, Nevada. Other titles include, NC Royalty Teen, American Coed Pre-teen, and multiple smaller titles. 

She has modeled for international magazines including Costume Gallery and Curtain Call Magazine.

She has assisted in makeup and hair at pageants with some of the best makeup and hair artists in North Carolina. She has a passion for dancing, and a love for teaching.
